 Preferred Driving School offers a drivers education program that has been approved by the State of Michigan, and the United States Department of Education. Our classroom is located at 517 W. Lovett in Charlotte, MI.
We offer Segment I, Segment II, behind the wheel training and Third Party Testing to the Mid-Michigan area. Classes consist of the following:
- Segment I - 24 hours of classroom instruction, and 6 hours of behind the wheel training.
- Segment II - 6 hours of classroom
- Third Party/Road Skills Test
 The instructors at Preferred Driving School enjoy teaching and working with young adults. Our favorite part of the training is the "behind the wheel" or "in the car" driving. Usually we have a young driver with little or no experience behind the wheel. During the course, we get to see how much the student has improved and ensure that they are ready for you to finish the rest of their training.
Our class sizes are small; usually less than 25 students per class. That allows for a lot more one on one with the classroom instructor. This encourages new drivers to ask more questions and further strengthen the student's confidence.
Parents and Legal Guardians are always welcome to sit in the classes or take a ride along with us in the car. At Preferred Driving School, it is important for the parents to know the progress of their new driver, and that they be the first to know how the new driver is performing. Preferred Driving School will send home a progress report after every drive. This allows the new driver and Parent/Guardian to evaluate the student's driving progress.
